The Dazzled Prophet is founded in 2006 and existed at first of Jirre Stoutjesdijk (electric guitar and backingvocal), Wouter van Nienes (electric guitar and leadvocal) and Martin Sans (drums). In 2008 Cengiz Arslanpay (synths) joined the band as fourth member and Wouter started to concentrate on bass guitar and singing.

The Dazzled Prophets sound has influences from bands like This Beautiful Mess, Radiohead, The Kooks, Placebo and Campsite. The musicstyle is indicated by listeners as Brittish electro disco hardrock indiepop with catchy melodies.

On March 7th 2009 The Dazzled Prophet won the Kleine Prijs van de Alblasserwaard and is now authorised to play at Wantijpop in Dordrecht.
